1.Instructions:
2.Process Work
We began by creating five preliminary concept sketches, each aimed at solving different urban mobility challenges in Kuala Lumpur.
These concepts explored a range of user groups and design approaches, including solutions for accessibility improvements and public information systems.

2.1 Selection & Refinement of Ideas
After receiving feedback, we refined and selected the most practical concepts, concentrating on clearly defined user groups and realistic real-world implementation.
We eliminated ideas that were overly complex or costly, and enhanced the clarity, usability, and accessibility of the remaining designs.
2.2Development of Idea 1: Smart Bus Stop Hubs
We further developed the first concept into Smart Bus Stop Hubs, designed specifically for elderly users, visually impaired individuals, and daily commuters.
This concept enhances existing bus stop infrastructure by introducing clear digital displays, multilingual support, voice announcements, and emergency assistance buttons, creating a more inclusive, accessible, and user-friendly public transport experience.

2.3 Development of Idea 2: Community “Travel Companion” Stations
The second concept was further developed into Community “Travel Companion” Stations, primarily designed for elderly users who may be less comfortable with digital technology.
We simplified the interface, incorporated larger and clearer fonts, and introduced voice navigation features to help bridge the digital divide and enhance convenience in everyday travel.

2.4Development of Idea 3: Wayfinding for the Visually Impaired
The third concept evolved into a dedicated wayfinding system for visually impaired users.
This design combines tactile paving, braille signage, 3D tactile maps, and audio guidance to promote safer, more independent navigation within urban spaces.

3. Feedback
Week 1:
We formed our group and discussed the initial ideas suggested by each member. During the discussion, we exchanged different concepts related to our project theme and explored possible directions together.
Week 2:
We selected our tutor and organized our chosen ideas into a structured and complete PowerPoint presentation in preparation for the proposal review.
Week 3:
We presented our proposals to our tutor and received detailed and constructive feedback. The tutor pointed out that some ideas were too expensive and difficult to implement in real situations. We were advised to focus on clearer target user groups and include more reference cases from other cities to strengthen our proposal.
Week 4:
During our consultation, we presented our slides and shared our group details with Mr. Asrizal. We also asked for his opinion on which of our three ideas would be the most suitable to develop for Task 2. After reviewing our proposals, he recommended that we proceed with idea3
Based on his feedback, we decided to focus on further developing these ideas for Task 2.
4. Reflection
Throughout these three weeks, I learned how to collaborate more effectively within a team and develop initial ideas into well-structured proposals. From group discussions to preparing the presentation and receiving tutor feedback, I gained a clearer understanding of the importance of identifying specific target users and ensuring that designs are practical and realistic.
The feedback encouraged us to refine our ideas and consider real-world applications more carefully. This experience has been very valuable for our project development and will help guide us toward creating stronger and more feasible designs in the next stage.
