PPT Production Process
The PPT was developed progressively to clearly document the workflow of the stop-motion animation project. In the initial stage, I organised the core project information, including the working title, theme, and synopsis. This helped establish a clear overall direction before moving into more detailed planning.
Following this, the PPT was structured in line with the project requirements, covering the story breakdown, shot list, and storyboard sections. The content was arranged in a logical sequence, allowing the lecturer to easily follow the development of the narrative from concept to execution. Visual references and simplified storyboard sketches were included to support the explanation of camera angles and character movements.
In the final stage, the layout and text were refined to enhance clarity and readability. Redundant information was removed, and the language was simplified to ensure the content was concise and professional. This refinement process improved both the visual quality and the overall effectiveness of the presentation.
Stop-motion Animation Production Process
The stop-motion animation was produced through a structured and methodical workflow. The process began with story planning, where the narrative was divided into clearly defined scenes and shots. A storyboard and shot list were developed at the outset to ensure that the story could be communicated effectively through movement alone, without relying on dialogue. This approach helped maintain a clear and accessible visual narrative.
During production, the camera was securely mounted on a tripod to maintain consistent framing throughout the shoot. The robot characters and props were arranged on a stable surface, and their positions were adjusted incrementally for each frame. Images were captured frame by frame to create smooth and continuous motion, particularly for key actions such as walking, falling, and blocking the vehicle.
Lighting was kept minimal and consistent to prevent flickering across frames. Once all frames were captured, the images were imported into editing software and sequenced accordingly. Shot durations were fine-tuned to control the pacing of the animation and to emphasise important moments within the story. The final stage involved reviewing and refining the animation to ensure that the narrative was clear and the actions were visually legible.

4. Reflection:
This project provided an opportunity to reconsider the video production process from a practical perspective, moving beyond theoretical understanding to hands-on engagement at every stage. From initial concept development and planning, through adapting to real-world constraints during filming, to post-production refinement, I came to understand that video production requires not only patience but also careful decision-making.
Throughout the filming process, several shots that were originally planned had to be adjusted in response to on-site conditions. This experience highlighted that thorough pre-production planning does not imply rigidity, but rather serves as a framework that enables flexible problem-solving. During post-production, greater attention was given to shot transitions, pacing, and detail, as these elements play a crucial role in shaping the audience’s comprehension of the narrative.
In the final compilation and submission stage, I learned to evaluate the work as a cohesive whole, focusing on narrative logic and overall completeness. Although the process demanded a considerable investment of time and effort, it significantly deepened my understanding of stop-motion animation storytelling and encouraged me to place greater emphasis on production efficiency and time management in future projects.
